The Coromandel is where a lot of our favourite weddings happen, Orua Beach House clifftop above Hot Water Beach, Waterlily Gardens marquees near the Karangahake, summer parties at Pauanui beach houses, low-key receptions at Whangamata.

We're on the peninsula most summer weekends. That means we already know which roads, which reception spots can run our rig off generator, which beaches let us load in by 4WD, and how to plan a ceremony PA around the wind.

Coromandel events are all a bit different, especially the off-grid ones, so we work travel out case by case around your date and venue. Flag where you're holding it when you enquire and we'll come back with a tidy, all-in number.

For peninsula weddings we'll often suggest arriving the day before, so setup, soundcheck and any beach-walk recce happen in daylight and the day itself runs calm.

Coromandel weddings are usually a venue + holiday-house combo, ceremony on a clifftop, reception in a private rental or marquee, and a late-night dance. We bring ceremony PA for outdoors (wind-rated mics, battery backup), full reception rig for indoors, and dance lighting that works under string lights instead of competing with them.

If your venue is off-grid, we run off our generator. If it's a beach house with a single 15A circuit, we know how to size the rig to it. We've done both more times than we can count. A photo booth or audio guestbook is an easy add for the reception if you want one.

Corporate retreats + parties, Coromandel.

A growing slice of the Coromandel calendar is corporate retreats and team Christmas trips, Auckland and Waikato firms taking 30 to 80 people up the peninsula for two nights. We supply DJ, ceremony-style PA for the offsite session, and an evening dancefloor in one trip.

Coromandel questions

Quick answers before you ask.

Do you DJ at Coromandel beach houses without proper power?

Yes. We bring our own generator option if mains is limited or non-existent, and we right-size the rig for small-room or open-deck setups so we never overload a holiday rental circuit.

Can you arrive Friday for a Saturday Coromandel wedding?

Yes, and we usually recommend it. Setup and soundcheck in daylight, and the long drive home becomes a relaxed Sunday morning instead of a midnight scramble. We sort the details into your quote.

What about wind on a clifftop or beach ceremony?

We bring wind-rated wireless mics and run the ceremony PA off a battery pack so there's no cable run risk. If the forecast is brutal, we have a wired-cardioid lapel as a backup.

How much notice do Coromandel summer weddings need?

Coromandel Saturdays in January and February are usually full 9 to 12 months out, especially at Orua, Waterlily and the popular beach houses. Get the date held with us as soon as the venue is confirmed.

Bloody awesome DJ company! We had the pleasure of having Chris as our DJ and he's absolutely amazing! We had made our song/playlist requests through a webpage that was easy to use and even though the rain meant some last minute change in locations, Chris wasn't phased and seamlessly carried on. The guests made so many comments about the DJ about how he read the room so well, kept vibes high and chose great songs (hubby and I agree!). We also got the photo booth which was a TOTAL hit! Incredible! We used Chris at our wedding a month ago - we had him for the whole shebang. From ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and through to the dance floor Chris was incredible. He was inconspicuous, but the music and timing was perfect. He fitted seamlessly into our day. The app and communication beforehand made things super easy and uncomplicated. AND THEN he threw down absolute banger after banger on the dance floor later on. We cannot thank you enough for helping to make our wedding such an absolute hit.

We used my Event DJ, for our wedding in January and they were absolutely amazing. Their systems for song selection was simply to use, their communication was also out standing. We also used the package which included the photo both and this went down even better than we hoped, the photos and set up was amazing and all our guest thought it was one of the best photo booths they have used.
