These are the terms for using the myeventdj.nz website. They're separate from our booking terms, which cover the actual DJ service and live at Terms & Conditions.

👋 Who we are

This site is run by My Event DJ, a New Zealand event DJ and AV business based in Hamilton. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean My Event DJ; "you" means you, the person visiting the site.

✅ Using the site means you agree

By browsing myeventdj.nz you're agreeing to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

📚 Content on the site

Everything you see here (words, photos, video, design, code, the logo, the pink Palmaton wordmark) belongs to us or to the people who created it for us. You're welcome to look, share links to the site, and quote small snippets with credit. Don't copy the site or use our images and text on your own site or in ads without asking first.

💬 Info on the site is a guide, not a quote

We try hard to keep pricing, package descriptions, coverage areas, and availability accurate. Small changes happen, so the real numbers for your event are the ones on your written quote or contract, not the ones on a service page. If something on the site conflicts with what we've quoted you directly, the quote wins.

🎯 Acceptable use

Please don't:

Scrape, mass-download, or republish parts of the site
Use automated tools to hammer the enquiry form
Try to break, probe, or bypass the site's security
Post anything unlawful, defamatory, or misleading through the enquiry form

If you do, we may block your access.

🔗 Links to other sites

We sometimes link out to venues, suppliers, and social platforms. We don't control those sites, so we can't be responsible for their content, availability, or how they handle your info.

📝 Booking through the site

Enquiries submitted through the site don't create a booking on their own. A booking is only confirmed once we've agreed the details in writing and received your retainer, as set out in our Terms & Conditions.

🛡️ Disclaimers

We do our best to keep the site online, accurate, and virus-free, but we can't guarantee that. You use the site at your own risk. As far as the law allows, we exclude any warranty that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose.

⚖️ Consumer guarantees

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986, where those Acts apply.

💸 Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss (like lost income, lost data, or missed opportunities) arising out of your use of the site. If we are liable for something, our total liability is capped at NZ$100.

🔒 Privacy

How we handle any info you submit through the site is covered in our Privacy Policy.

🔄 Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always the one on this page, and the "last updated" line below tells you when it changed.

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be dealt with in the New Zealand courts.
